Access Magic Maps

Go to DEFRA Magic Maps website

 

Open the Measurement Tool

Click the Ruler icon in the toolbar at the top to access the measurement tool

Select the Area Measurement Option

In the Measurement Tools window, ensure the polygon measurement tool is selected

Start Measuring the Area

Click on the map to set the first point of the area you want to measure.  Continue clicking to add more points along the boundary of the area you want to measure. Each click adds a corner to the polygon.

Complete the Shape

Double-click when you have added the final point of the polygon to close the shape and finish the measurement

 

Record the M2 Area

Take a note of the M2 area displayed in the Measurement Result window.​
